Community jam for poets, poetry lovers, and changemakers TAP into the joys of summer at our Poets’ Playground summer social! Once every season, Triangle poets, poetry lovers, and changemakers gather at Boxyard RTP to share, listen, connect, and tag-team playful, creative solutions to the challenges our neighbors face every day. Join us Saturday, June 13, for a night of: Poetry readings and spoken word artistry Generative poetry game Community building Featuring artists: Kiana Jackson Brianna Yancey Greensboro Poet Laureate James Daniels At Poets’ Playground, we turn refunct shipping containers into incubators for art, mutual aid, and emotional truth. Join us outside at the turn of each season for a poetry jam, bringing together the voices of artists, changemakers, organizers, and advocates. All proceeds support our community of artists and changemakers. Presented by Poets’ Playground by way of Third Angle Poets. Ticket Price To keep our event open and accessible, we have a suggested donation of $15. All are invited and we don’t want cost to be a barrier. That being said, please pay what you can—your ticket helps fund the performances and makes our programming possible! While this event takes place in a designated area with an intentional audience, be aware that we are outside and you may be heard by humans of all ages and walks of life. If you’re not certain your poem is appropriate, please ask. About Third Angle Poets Founded in 2024, Third Angle Poets is a collective of seasoned arts organizers from across the Triangle. In partnership with Boxyard RTP, Third Angle creates one-of-a-kind interactive events for poets and changemakers to share their voice, hone their craft, and collaborate for social good – including the quarterly Poets’ Playground series and Triangle Poetry Festival. By showcasing poetry, we seek to foster vulnerability and trust. By catalyzing conversations between artists and activists, we help meet the immediate- and long-term needs of our community—while fueling our souls.
